江苏农牧科技职业学院始建于1958年9月，隶属于江苏省农业农村厅，是以培养农牧科技类技术技能型人才为主的高等院校。2001年6月独立升格为江苏畜牧兽医职业技术学院，2013年3月更名为现名，同年以优秀等级通过国家示范性高等职业院校建设计划验收；2018年入选江苏省高水平高等职业院校建设单位（8所卓越高职院校之一），2019年跻身中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位行列。

Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College was founded in September 1958 and is affiliated to Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is a higher education institution focusing on cultivating technical and skilled talents in agricultural and animal husbandry science and technology. In June 2001, it was independently upgraded to Jiangsu Animal Husbandry and Veterinary College, and renamed to its current name in March 2013. In the same year, it passed the acceptance of the National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College Construction Plan with excellent grades. In 2018, it was selected as a construction unit of Jiangsu Provincial High-level Higher Vocational Colleges (one of the 8 outstanding higher vocational colleges), and in 2019, it became a construction unit of China's characteristic high-level vocational schools.

学校坐落于江苏省泰州市，现有凤凰路、迎宾路、红旗大道（江苏现代畜牧科技园）、创新大道（江苏中药科技园）四个校区，总占地面积4390余亩，校舍建筑面积59万多平方米，纸质（电子）藏书212.8万册，教学科研仪器设备总值3.60亿元。面向全国25个省（市、自治区）招生，在校生17000余人，形成以农牧科技为特色，涵盖畜牧兽医、食品药品、农业技术、信息技术等多领域的专业体系，拥有国家实训基地4个、国家级科技创新平台3个及省级科研平台21个，是全国高职院校中唯一拥有国家级水禽基因库的院校。

Located in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, the college has four campuses: Fenghuang Road Campus, Yingbin Road Campus, Hongqi Avenue Campus (Jiangsu Modern Animal Husbandry Science and Technology Park), and Chuangxin Avenue Campus (Jiangsu Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Park). With a total area of over 4,390 mu, the college has a building area of more than 590,000 square meters, 2.128 million paper (electronic) books, and teaching and research equipment worth 360 million yuan. Enrolling students from 25 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, it has more than 17,000 students and has formed a professional system featuring agricultural and animal husbandry science and technology, covering animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, food and pharmaceuticals, agricultural technology, information technology and other fields. It has 4 national training bases, 3 national science and technology innovation platforms and 21 provincial scientific research platforms, and is the only vocational college in China with a national waterfowl gene bank.
