黑龙江农业职业技术学院坐落在素有“华夏东极”“东方第一城”“东北小延安”之称的中国最佳生态环境魅力城市、国家智慧城市——佳木斯市。学院南毗水源山公园、北邻火车站，风景秀丽、交通便利。办学历史悠久，学院始建于1948年，历经松江省呼兰农林技术专门学校、松江省佳木斯农林高级职业学校、松江省农业技术学校、东北农学院合江分院、合江地区五·七中等专业学校、合江地区五·七大学、黑龙江省佳木斯农业学校等时期。2001年3月，经黑龙江省人民政府批准，在省内首批由中专学校晋升为高职学院，步入全国普通高等院校行列，现为黑龙江省骨干高等职业院校建设学院、黑龙江省双高建设学院。

Heilongjiang Agricultural Vocational and Technical College is located in Jiamusi City, known as the "East Pole of China", "the First City in the East" and "Little Yan'an in Northeast China", which is a charming city with the best ecological environment and a national smart city in China. The college is adjacent to Shuiyuan Mountain Park in the south and the railway station in the north, with beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. With a long history, the college was founded in 1948 and has gone through periods such as Songjiang Province Hulan Agricultural and Forestry Technical School, Songjiang Province Jiamusi Agricultural and Forestry Senior Vocational School, Songjiang Province Agricultural Technical School, Northeast Agricultural College Hejiang Branch, Hejiang Region May 7 Secondary Professional School, Hejiang Region May 7 University, Heilongjiang Province Jiamusi Agricultural School, etc. In March 2001, approved by the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, it was among the first batch of secondary vocational schools in the province to be upgraded to a higher vocational college, entering the ranks of national ordinary institutions of higher learning. Now it is a key higher vocational college construction college in Heilongjiang Province and a double-high construction college in Heilongjiang Province.

学院校区占地面积660亩，建筑面积22.4万平方米，资产总值3.1亿元，专业实验室138个，校内实训基地13个、校外实训基地300多个、多媒体教室51个。学院设有农学院、动物科技学院、食品药品学院、建筑工程学院、机电工程学院、信息工程学院、经济管理学院、国际合作学院、应用技术学院、思想政治理论课教学部、军事体育教学部等11个教学院（部），拥有涵盖理、工、农、经、建等学科门类的38个热门专业，其中2个国家级重点专业，5个中央财政支持重点建设专业，9个省财政支持重点建设专业，省级精品课11门，分析检测中心1个，职业技能鉴定中心1个。

The college campus covers an area of 660 mu, with a building area of 224,000 square meters, a total asset value of 310 million yuan, 138 professional laboratories, 13 on-campus training bases, more than 300 off-campus training bases, and 51 multimedia classrooms. The college has 11 teaching colleges (departments) including the College of Agriculture, the College of Animal Science and Technology, the College of Food and Drug, the College of Architectural Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the College of Information Engineering, the College of Economics and Management, the College of International Cooperation, the College of Applied Technology, the Teaching Department of Ideological and Political Theory, and the Teaching Department of Military Sports. It has 38 popular majors covering disciplines such as science, engineering, agriculture, economics, and architecture, including 2 national key majors, 5 key construction majors supported by central finance, 9 key construction majors supported by provincial finance, 11 provincial excellent courses, 1 analysis and testing center, and 1 vocational skill appraisal center.

学院形成了“工学交替、订单培养、带薪顶岗、出国留学”为鲜明特色的办学模式。国内订单培养与青岛海尔集团、北汽福田汽车制造有限公司、一汽集团吉林汽车有限公司、德国拜耳作物科学有限公司、联想集团、大连华信计算机技术股份有限公司、北京大北农集团、深圳博伦特光电有限公司、山东京博农业科技有限公司等进行订单培养。与长三角、珠三角、环渤海、环首都经济圈的300余家用人单位签订了长期合作协议，以保证毕业生高层次、高薪酬就业。近五年毕业生初次就业率平均85%以上。对外国际合作与日本拓殖大学、苫小牧驹泽大学、新泻国际综合学院、仓敷艺术科学大学、千叶科学大学、罔山理科大学、东日本国际大学和俄罗斯远东国立人文社会科学院、联邦纳霍德卡商业技术学院、俄罗斯布里亚特共和国国立农业大学等院校联合办学。

The college has formed a distinctive school-running model of "work-study alternation, order-based training, paid internship, and studying abroad". For domestic order-based training, it conducts order-based training with Qingdao Haier Group, Beiqi Foton Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., FAW Group Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., Bayer CropScience AG, Lenovo Group, Dalian Huaxin Computer Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Dabeinong Group, Shenzhen Bolunte Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Shandong Jingbo Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., etc. It has signed long-term cooperation agreements with more than 300 employers in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Bohai Rim, and the Capital Economic Circle to ensure high-level and high-paying employment for graduates. The average initial employment rate of graduates in the past five years has been over 85%. For international cooperation, it has joint education programs with Japanese universities such as Takushoku University, Tomakomai Komazawa University, Niigata International Comprehensive College, Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts, Chiba Institute of Science, Okayama University of Science, and Higashi Nippon International University, as well as Russian institutions such as the Far Eastern State University of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Federal Nakhodka Commercial and Technical College, and the State Agricultural University of the Republic of Buryatia, Russia.
