黑龙江农业工程职业学院始建于1948年，是我国创建最早的专门培养粮食生产、农业机械化和畜牧水产养殖人才的职业院校。2021年9月由黑龙江农业工程职业学院与黑龙江生物科技职业学院合并组建新的黑龙江农业工程职业学院。学校2006年通过教育部高职高专人才培养优秀评估，2007年被教育部、财政部确立为国家示范性高等职业院校项目建设单位，2017年获批黑龙江省高水平高职院校，2019年获批国家优质专科高等职业学校、中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划B档专业群立项单位，2021年全国乡村振兴人才培养优质校，2025年入选中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划(2025—2029年)专业群建设单位。

Heilongjiang Agricultural Engineering Vocational College was founded in 1948 and is one of the earliest vocational colleges in China specializing in cultivating talents for grain production, agricultural mechanization, and livestock and aquatic breeding. In September 2021, the new Heilongjiang Agricultural Engineering Vocational College was established by merging Heilongjiang Agricultural Engineering Vocational College and Heilongjiang Vocational College of Biological Science and Technology. The college passed the excellent evaluation of talent training for higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education in 2006, was identified as a national demonstration higher vocational college project construction unit by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance in 2007, approved as a high-level vocational college in Heilongjiang Province in 2017, approved as a national high-quality specialized higher vocational school and a B-level professional group project unit of the China特色高水平高职学校 and专业建设计划 in 2019, a national high-quality school for rural revitalization talent training in 2021, and selected as a professional group construction unit of the China特色高水平高职学校 and专业建设计划 (2025 - 2029) in 2025.

学校现有南岗、松北2个校区和海伦、齐齐哈尔、北安、哈尔滨道里区榆树4个基地及1个农业装备技术示范园，总占地面积445.54万平方米，建筑面积37.06万平方米，固定资产总值11.29亿元，教学科研仪器设备总值3.69亿元。设有14个行政部门，17个二级学院和教辅部门，教职工1056人，专任教师646人。坚持以农育工、以工强农、农工融合的专业发展定位，构建以农业装备工程为特色，农牧渔类协同发展，生物技术、信息技术、智能技术、水利工程技术和农业经济管理为支撑的专业（群）格局，开设高职专业54个，现有全日制在校学生1.1万人。

The college has 2 campuses (Nangang and Songbei), 4 bases (Hailun, Qiqihar, Bei'an, and Yushu in Daoli District of Harbin), and 1 agricultural equipment technology demonstration park, with a total area of 4.4554 million square meters, a building area of 370,600 square meters, a total fixed asset value of 1.129 billion yuan, and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 369 million yuan. It has 14 administrative departments, 17 secondary colleges and teaching auxiliary departments, 1,056 faculty members, and 646 full-time teachers. Adhering to the professional development orientation of cultivating industry through agriculture, strengthening agriculture through industry, and integrating agriculture and industry, it has built a professional (group) pattern featuring agricultural equipment engineering, coordinated development of agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery, supported by biotechnology, information technology, intelligent technology, water conservancy engineering technology and agricultural economic management, offering 54 higher vocational majors and having 11,000 full-time students.
