湖北财税职业学院前身为创建于1987年的湖北省税务学校，2004年5月经湖北省人民政府批准，升格为全国税务系统唯一面向全国招生的公办全日制普通高等职业学院。学校行政上隶属于国家税务总局湖北省税务局，教育教学业务受湖北省教育厅指导，坐落于湖北省武汉市武昌中心城区，地理位置优越，交通便利，校园洁净、环境优美，基础设施配套完备，被省教育厅评为花园式学校和省级平安校园。

Hubei Finance & Taxation College, formerly known as Hubei Taxation School founded in 1987, was upgraded to a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college upon approval by the Hubei Provincial People's Government in May 2004. It is the only vocational college in China's taxation system that enrolls students nationwide. Administratively affiliated to the Hubei Provincial Tax Service of the State Taxation Administration and under the educational guidance of Hubei Provincial Department of Education, the college is located in the central area of Wuchang, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, enjoying a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. With a clean and beautiful campus and complete infrastructure, it has been rated as a Garden-style School and Provincial Safe Campus by the Provincial Department of Education.

学校秉承“尚德求知、强能经世”的校训精神，形成了以财经类专业为主体的办学特色。现有大数据与会计、财税大数据应用等13个专业，其中大数据与会计、财税大数据应用专业为国家级骨干专业，财税大数据应用、财富管理专业为省级特色专业。师资力量雄厚，专任教师中副高级以上职称占比达30%，双师型教师占比超60%，并聘请行业专家近百人担任兼职教师。校内建有40多个实训室，投入近千万元建成省内一流的虚拟仿真实训中心，实现“上课即上班、毕业即就业”的教学目标，毕业生对母校满意率连续多年位居全省同类院校前列。

Adhering to the school motto of "Upholding Virtue, Pursuing Knowledge, Strengthening Abilities, and Serving the World", the college has formed a distinctive school-running feature with finance and economics majors as the main body. Currently, it offers 13 majors including Big Data and Accounting, Financial and Tax Big Data Application, etc. Among them, Big Data and Accounting, Financial and Tax Big Data Application are national-level key majors, and Financial and Tax Big Data Application, Wealth Management are provincial-level characteristic majors. The college boasts a strong teaching staff, with over 30% of full-time teachers holding associate senior titles or above, and more than 60% being double-qualified teachers. Nearly 100 industry experts are employed as part-time teachers. The college has built over 40 on-campus training rooms and invested nearly 10 million yuan to establish a first-class virtual simulation training center in the province, realizing the teaching goal of "attending classes as working and graduating as employed". The satisfaction rate of graduates with their alma mater has ranked among the top of similar colleges in the province for many years.
