广州理工学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科高校，创建于2000年，2006年成为独立学院并开办本科教育，2020年经教育部同意转设更名为广州理工学院。学校地处粤港澳大湾区核心地区，现有广州市白云区、增城区及惠州市博罗县三个校区，是广东省民办高校首批硕士学位授予立项建设单位和首批招收联合培养硕士研究生单位，连续多年获得广东省民办高校年检优秀单位等荣誉。

Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 2000, it became an independent college and started undergraduate education in 2006. In 2020, it was renamed Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Located in the core area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the university has three campuses in Baiyun District, Zengcheng District of Guangzhou and Boluo County of Huizhou. It is among the first batch of private universities in Guangdong Province to be approved for master's degree granting and joint training of postgraduates, and has been awarded the Excellent Unit in Annual Inspection of Private Universities in Guangdong for many consecutive years.

学校以工学为主，涵盖管理学、经济学、文学、艺术学、教育学等多学科协调发展，下设16个二级学院，开设51个本科专业，全日制在校学生近29000人。现有教职员工1800余人，其中自有专任教师约1200人，具有博士学位教师近300人，副高级及以上职称教师300余人。学校坚持产教融合、校企合作，建有15个产业学院、191个专业实验室和313个实践教学基地，教学科研仪器设备总值近2亿元，纸质图书260.1万册，2023年获第十一届国家教学成果奖二等奖（合作）。

With engineering as its main discipline, the university develops coordinately with management, economics, literature, art, education and other disciplines. It has 16 secondary colleges offering 51 undergraduate programs, with nearly 29,000 full-time students. There are more than 1,800 faculty members, including about 1,200 full-time teachers, nearly 300 with doctoral degrees, and over 300 with associate senior titles or above. Adhering to industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the university has established 15 industrial colleges, 191 professional laboratories and 313 practical teaching bases. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is nearly 200 million yuan, with 2.601 million paper books. In 2023, it won the second prize of the 11th National Teaching Achievement Award (cooperation).
