广东艺术职业学院是历史悠久、声誉卓著的省属公立艺术类高职院校，源自1958年成立的广东粤剧学校和1959年创建的广东舞蹈学校。2012年2月，经广东省人民政府批准，两校合并建立广东舞蹈戏剧职业学院；2024年5月，正式更名为广东艺术职业学院，由广东省教育厅与省文化和旅游厅共建，是广东省省域高水平高职院校建设计划重点培育单位。

Guangdong Vocational College of Arts is a prestigious public art vocational college with a long history, originating from Guangdong Cantonese Opera School founded in 1958 and Guangdong Dance School established in 1959. In February 2012, approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the two schools merged to form Guangdong Dance and Drama Vocational College; in May 2024, it was officially renamed Guangdong Vocational College of Arts. Co-constructed by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and the Department of Culture and Tourism, it is a key cultivation unit of Guangdong Provincial High-level Vocational College Construction Plan.

学校以“唯真、唯正、唯美”为校训，坚持“围绕舞台培养人才、在舞台上培养人才”的办学传统，形成“教学做一体、文化传承与守正创新一体、舞台艺术与舞台技术一体”的办学特色。现设有粤剧学院、舞蹈学院、音乐学院等12个二级学院，开设戏曲表演、舞蹈表演、音乐表演等34个专业，其中国家级示范专业2个、省级高水平专业群3个，是全球唯一培养粤剧表演高职层次人才的院校。

With the school motto of "Truth, Integrity, and Aesthetics", the college adheres to the educational tradition of "Cultivating talents around the stage and on the stage", forming the educational characteristics of "Integration of teaching and practice, integration of cultural inheritance with innovation, and integration of stage art with stage technology". It now has 12 secondary colleges including Cantonese Opera College, Dance College, and Music College, offering 34 majors such as Opera Performance, Dance Performance, and Music Performance. Among them, there are 2 national-level demonstration majors and 3 provincial-level high-level professional groups, making it the world's only college that cultivates higher vocational talents in Cantonese opera performance.

建校以来，学校培养了中国戏剧奖·梅花表演奖得主曾小敏、丁凡，知名演员黄轩、钟楚曦，舞蹈家李响等大批杰出校友，被誉为“粤剧人才的摇篮”。学校现有天河、南海、越秀三个校区，全日制在校生7900余人，专任教师396人，正致力于打造艺术职业教育技术技能人才培养高地，服务粤港澳大湾区文化艺术事业发展。

Since its establishment, the college has cultivated numerous outstanding alumni such as Zeng Xiaomin and Ding Fan, winners of the Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award, famous actors Huang Xuan and Zhong Chuxi, and dancer Li Xiang, known as the "cradle of Cantonese opera talents". The college currently has three campuses in Tianhe, Nanhai, and Yuexiu, with over 7,900 full-time students and 396 full-time teachers. It is committed to building a highland for cultivating technical and skilled talents in art vocational education and serving the development of cultural and art undertakings in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
