福建卫生职业技术学院是一所经福建省人民政府批准设置、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等学校，是福建省示范性现代高等职业院校、福建省高水平职业院校和专业计划(A类)立项建设单位。学校2005年由福建卫生学校和福州卫生学校合并组建，办学历史最早可追溯到1888年，是我国近代护理教育的起源之一，也是全国首批开设预防医学专业的高职院校、全省最早的药学和医学检验人才培养基地。

Fujian Health College is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Fujian Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a Fujian Provincial Demonstrative Modern Higher Vocational College and a project construction unit of Fujian Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges and Professional Plan (Category A). Established in 2005 through the merger of Fujian Health School and Fuzhou Health School, the college traces its roots back to 1888, making it one of the origins of modern nursing education in China. It is also one of the first higher vocational colleges in China to offer preventive medicine and the earliest training base for pharmaceutical and medical laboratory talents in Fujian Province.

学校设有护理学院、药学院等9个教学机构，开设专业30个，形成医、药、护、技、健高水平专业群5个。现有专任教师693人，其中高级职称231人、博士36人，全日制高职在校生达1.2万人，毕业生去向落实率稳定在96%以上。学校与7所中职学校开展联合办学，与福建医科大学开展3个专业高职本科贯通人才培养项目，构建起“中职—高职—应用本科”纵向融通的现代职业教育体系。

The college has 9 teaching institutions including the School of Nursing and the School of Pharmacy, offering 30 majors and forming 5 high-level professional groups in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, technology, and health. It has 693 full-time teachers, including 231 with senior professional titles and 36 doctors. The number of full-time vocational college students reaches 12,000, with the employment rate of graduates stably above 96%. The college collaborates with 7 secondary vocational schools and carries out 3 higher vocational-undergraduate talent cultivation programs with Fujian Medical University, establishing a vertically integrated modern vocational education system of "secondary vocational—higher vocational—applied undergraduate".

学校积极服务国家“一带一路”倡议，与美国、日本、泰国等10余所国（境）外高校建立合作关系，举办福建省高职院校首个中外护理教育合作项目。拥有教育部课程思政教学团队1个、职业教育国家在线精品课程2门，获得国家级教学成果二等奖1项、福建省教学成果特等奖1项，是全国卫生健康职业教育教学指导委员会公共卫生管理类专业委员会副主任委员单位及福建省医药卫生行业职业教育指导委员会秘书长单位。

Actively serving the national "Belt and Road" initiative, the college has established cooperative relations with more than 10 overseas universities in the United States, Japan, Thailand, etc., and hosts the first Sino-foreign nursing education cooperation project among Fujian's vocational colleges. It has 1 curriculum ideological and political teaching team of the Ministry of Education, 2 national online quality courses in vocational education, 1 second prize of national teaching achievements, and 1 special prize of Fujian provincial teaching achievements. It serves as the deputy director unit of the Public Health Management Professional Committee of the National Health Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and the secretary-general unit of the Fujian Provincial Vocational Education Steering Committee for the Pharmaceutical and Health Industry.
