福建生物工程职业技术学院是隶属福建省教育厅的公办全日制高等职业院校，坐落于福州市，前身是创办于1980年5月的福建医药学校，2005年5月升格为高等职业院校。学校坚持大健康产业办学定位，致力于培养生物医药、健康食品、康复养护、医学技术、健康管理等领域的高素质技术技能人才，现有洪山和铜盘两个校区，下设中药系、药学系、健康食品系等7个教学系（院、部），开设21个高职专业，涉及生物与化工、食品药品与粮食等六大类。

Fujian Vocational College of Bio-engineering is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to the Fujian Provincial Department of Education. Located in Fuzhou City, it originated from Fujian Medical School founded in May 1980 and was upgraded to a higher vocational college in May 2005. Adhering to the orientation of serving the big health industry, the college is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents in fields such as biomedicine, health food, rehabilitation care, medical technology, and health management. It has two campuses, Hongshan and Tongpan, with 7 teaching departments (colleges and divisions) including the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Department of Pharmacy, and Department of Health Food, offering 21 higher vocational majors covering six categories such as biology and chemical engineering, food, medicine and grain.

学校现有教职员工293人，全日制在校生6510人，拥有一支高水平“双师型”专业教学团队，其中副高级及以上专业技术职务教师46人，双师型教师113人，博士研究生学历教师13人。学校注重教育教学改革与特色发展，康复治疗技术、中药学、药品经营与管理专业被认定为国家级骨干专业，药学专业群入选省“双高计划”建设项目，健康养老专业群生产实训基地为国家示范生产性实训基地，2023年获批国家自然科学基金依托单位，毕业生就业落实率连续多年保持在95%以上，2022年被评为福建省高校毕业生就业创业工作先进单位。

The college has 293 faculty members and 6,510 full-time students, with a high-level "double-qualified" professional teaching team, including 46 teachers with associate senior titles or above, 113 double-qualified teachers, and 13 teachers with doctoral degrees. Focusing on educational reform and characteristic development, its Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, Chinese Materia Medica, and Pharmaceutical Business and Management majors are recognized as national key majors. The Pharmacy major group was selected into the provincial "Double High-Level Plan" construction project, and the production training base of the health and elderly care major group is a national demonstration productive training base. In 2023, it was approved as a supporting unit for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 95% for many years, and it was rated as an Advanced Unit for Employment and Entrepreneurship Work of College Graduates in Fujian Province in 2022.
