福建船政交通职业学院前身为创办于1866年的中国近代官办第一所高等实业学堂——福建船政学堂，是中国近现代职业教育的发轫地。学校是经教育部批准成立的省属公办高等职业学院，是首批28所国家示范性高等职业院校、中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位（C档）、国家优质专科高等职业院校，荣获第三届中国质量奖提名奖。

Fujian Chuanzheng Communications College traces its roots to the Fujian Chuanzheng学堂 (Foochow Naval Academy), founded in 1866 as China's first modern official higher industrial school and the cradle of modern vocational education in China. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education, among the first 28 National Model Higher Vocational Colleges, a construction unit (Grade C) for China's High-level Vocational Schools with Distinctive Features, a National High-quality Junior College, and a nominee for the 3rd China Quality Award.

学校现有首山校区、排下校区、武夷职教园三大校区，占地面积近1427亩，教学科研仪器设备总值超4.2亿元；设有14个教学机构、42个招生专业，专任教师超1000人。以航海技术、安全技术与管理两大“双高计划”专业群为龙头，构建了涵盖交通土建、汽车运用、轨道交通等领域的9大现代综合立体交通专业集群，毕业生初次就业率连续九年超99%，用人单位满意度超95%。

The college has three campuses (Shoushan, Paixia, and Wuyi Vocational Education Park) covering nearly 1,427 mu, with teaching and research equipment worth over 420 million yuan. It comprises 14 teaching units offering 42 programs, with over 1,000 full-time teachers. Leading with two "Double High Plan" professional groups (Maritime Technology and Safety Technology & Management), it has built 9 modern comprehensive transportation professional clusters covering traffic civil engineering, automotive application, and rail transit. The initial employment rate of graduates has exceeded 99% for nine consecutive years, with employer satisfaction over 95%.
